About Quikqr

Hi there. We are Quikqr, an easy to use, totally free service for creating QR codes. QR codes are a simple way of connecting the physical world to the digital- take a picture of a QR code on your phone and it will take you to a URL or text encoded within the QR code.

We think QR codes are an exciting development that will change the way we interact with the world. Already QR codes are popping up in unexpected places, from advertising hoardings to restaurant menus, personalised t-shirts to business cards.

Here at Quikqr we not only believe in QR codes but we believe in making them easy and useful. That's why we keep things straightforward- you don't need to sign in and we don't have complicated interfaces for creating codes. We also believe QR codes work best when used on actual stuff and to that end offer a range of products for you to put your unique QR code on. It's a great way to promote something (even yourself) but the useless are literally endless. Get creative. We certainly are: follow some of our schemes at our blog or on Twitter.

Quikqr is two guys living in London; we're both in our twenties and sadly both have day jobs. Quikqr is free - we don't expect to make any money of this site and are grateful for your interest. While the site is small at the moment we have big plans for the future. We believe in using the internet to communicate, but that too often this is difficult and puts people off. We want to find ways of using technology anyone can get involved with. Over the next few months we will be working hard on new features and ideas, so check back to see what’s happening.
